Point Eight Power Enters Exclusive Licensing Agreement with PACS Industries, Inc.
 

The licensing agreement enhances Point Eight Power’s capabilities to provide customized solutions to clients who require arc resistant switchgear for their operations. Further, the design for sequestering and venting arc flash events meets the IEEE C37.20.7 Type 2C test between adjacent vertical cubicles by means of a patented vertical isolation plenum. Point Eight Power’s initial arc resistant ratings will include 15kV up to 63kA for 0.5 seconds for one-high and two-high construction; 27kV up to 40kA for 0.5 seconds; 38kV up to 40kA for 0.5 seconds.

Point Eight Power has licensed this technology from PACS Industries, a pioneer in arc resistant switchgear designs for heavy industry and railroad transportation, in response to growing demand from its client base.
